Internet Marketing Blog featuring tools, tips and strategies to help you build your business online.
Thomas Edison failed thousands of times before successfully inventing the light bulb and do you know what he’s reported to have said? Well, apparantly he said, “I haven’t failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that don’t work.”
Fear of failure is often a cause for people not getting started with a project. The reality is that we often live in complete fear of failure. We spend so much time convincing ourselves that we cannot do something, and that when we fail to accomplish it, our lives will be horrible, that we stop working towards it all together or don’t even bother to make the start that’s needed.
Instead of trying to accomplish the goal; and being disappointed only if we fail, we convince ourselves to not start at all. Just like fear of rejection, fear of failure can be highly detrimental to our personal and business endeavors. The internet marketing and home business industry is full of people that allow the fear of failure to grip them and control their actions (or lack of action).
What if no one buys my product? What if no one reads my blog posts? Or worse, what if people hate what I have to say? Do you suffer from this fear of failure? Do you have a fear of rejection? Do you fear success? If you want to be really successful in internet marketing or working from home, it’s critical that you stop living in fear of failure. Tell yourself “If it happens, it happens.” But don’t allow it to happen by bringing it on yourself.
You have to fail to be able to succeed. Success without prior failure is nothing. Just go do it and if you fail, get up and do it again, and again. Tell yourself with confidence that you will accept nothing less than what you want and will continue trying until you get it.
