I’ve packed a lot of things into my forty years on this planet. I ran a clock repair business when I was thirteen, spent a couple of damp, greasy years as an apprentice car mechanic, stood on a milk production line all day long, delivered newspapers and leaflets, managed the production and distribution of swedish furniture, chauffeured one of the wealthiest women in the world, dabbled in property renovation and development, sold financial services and computer cleaning services, owned a restaurant and a pub, decorated peoples houses, taught karate and tutored samurai, sold books on amazon and ebay and mastered the art of italian marble plastering, but nothing comes close to running an online business.

What’s So Great About An Internet Marketing Business?

I don’t directly employ any staff so I have no wage bill to meet. I have no shop premises to pay for and ongoing bills to meet. I keep no stock and require no postage. I have no boss, no time restraints. I don’t have to be somewhere at any particular time. So I can come and go as I please. I can work whenever I want to work. I can live wherever I choose to live. Internet Marketing has allowed me to build this kind of lifestyle.

I own a laptop so I can work from wherever I choose. In fact … that’s the main reason why I chose to write this article. I have just returned from a short break in Alicante in Spain. We suffer from a lack of sunny days in England so I thought a week in the sun would be ideal.

I was able to develop a new business plan, keep up with important emails, make some alterations to my websites and develop three new products all from my laptop on my sun-drenched terrace and beside the pool. Tell me another business that allows you to do that? I even outsourced some design work whilst I was taking a swim which was completed by the time I’d finished barbequing some delicious meat on the terrace and got paid before I’d eaten it. Happy days!

Those who know and work with me know that I love to travel. My internet marketing business allows me to do this. I enjoy meeting new people and finding out what they do. I get a lot of ideas for products when I’m travelling and the laptop allows me to develop projects on the go.

I would recommend this internet marketing lifestyle to anyone. It really can’t be beaten. I threw my alarm clock out several years ago and now get up when I want to get up, unpressured by a boss or system I have no desire to be controlled by. Unlike the internet marketing “gurus”, it has taken me a long time to get to this stage but I’m sure glad I persisted. There’s a lot more that I want to achieve but this business gives me the lifestyle that makes me happy to be alive and it gives me the time to spend doing the things I want to do with the people I want to do them with.

If you are stuggling to get the lifestyle you really desire my advice to you is keep on trying. Never give up. You owe it to yourself to live the life you really want. And if you want a stress free life with lots of challenges where you are fully in control of your own destiny, I would say that an internet marketing business is one area where you should focus your time.

Think about this for a moment … can you take the day off when it’s your loved one’s birthday? Make the day special for them? Spend a week or two away from your business without worrying about the money still rolling in? Take a long weekend away at the drop of a hat? Develop new products at the pool side? Scuba dive in the Mediterranean without worrying about staff problems or ski in the alps without wondering if you still have a job to go back to?

Now is the best time for you to start your online business. The global recession isn’t over by a long way. There are many more financial upsets to come. Don’t be afraid of failure. Just get some momentum going. I’ve failed at a thousand things before but one thing I know for sure is that when I decide that I’ve already won … nothing in the universe has any hope of stopping me.
